The page size of your document must be set to the final trim size. For programs that don’t have the option to add bleed, please increase your desired page size by .125 inches on all four sides. Single Sheet Documents- Press ready/PDF documents are to be provided as 100% actual size of final trim. Multi-page Documents- Preferred format is single page document in page order. Printer spread files are acceptable, may require additional preflight set-up. Reader spreads will required additional preflights/set-up charges.
Photo images should be at least 300 ppi at 100% of the final size on your printed piece.
To avoid font substitutions, either package your fonts or convert all fonts to outlines. Make sure fonts are embedded in your exported pdf file.
The standard bleed allowance for printing is .125”. Extend bleeding elements (backgrounds, photos etc) .125” beyond the trim area for proper trimming. Keep live content a minimum .188” inside trim edge.
Use CMYK color mode and color palettes, as well as spot colors. If you intend to print with spot colors, make sure you embed the spot color in your pdf, for accurate color matching.
